It didn't take Alfred, Margit & Robert long to get out of Europe after Alfred's release from Dachau, less then two months. On 1939-04-04 they were issued immigration visas to the USA. On 1939-04-08 they were on the ship SS Westernland that departed from Antwerp. It is not certain where they boarded. Maybe they boarded a day or so later, possibly The Netherlands.
